Children's Sunscreen

We all want to protect our children, so let’s start with their skin and what we put on it. This is my list of children’s sunscreen. I’m passionate about supporting Australian brands. I have personally checked every ingredient in every bottle I have listed here. Remember slip, slop, slap, seek and slide.(In no particular order)

ALLERGY WARNING: These sunscreens ALL contain nut oils and food protein, some more than others. I have reflected these potential allergens in orange in the slides. Unfortunately I have been unable to find a completely NUT oil free AND Food protein free NATURAL sunscreen. These sunscreens can be used on babies and children 6 months + once they have had repeat oral exposure to that particular food.

Adult Sunscreen

There are numerous studies that show chemical UV filters generate free radical damage, endocrine disruption, damage to your hormones and DNA damage at a molecular level. WE have the choice in what we use on our skin and choosing NOT to use chemical sunscreen is such an easy and important decision to make.

Not only are these sunscreens toxic for our health, in a 2016 study, a team of international scientists found that a common chemical in many sunscreen lotions is highly toxic to juvenile corals and other marine life. Oxybenzone.

Hawaii is the first state in the US to ban the sale of sunscreen containing the coral-harming chemicals oxybenzone and octinoxate as of 2021. Oxybenzone is listed as one of the main (ACTIVE) ingredients in many chemical based sunscreens on supermarket and chemists shelves.
