La Roche-posay 50+ tinted BB cream
With 34 ingredients, it’s up there with one of the longest list of ingredients I’ve ever seen in one cosmetic product.

I decided not to go into full detail of every single ingredient because that would take forever, so instead, I’ll point of the ingredients I don’t recommend using on your skin, for sunscreens you absolutely want to avoid these and opt for a zinc oxide based formula.
🔹PARFUM / FRAGRANCE= Fragrance in the US and parfum in the EU is a generic term on the ingredient list that is made up of 30 to 50 chemicals on average (but it can have as much as 200 components!).
If you are someone who likes to know what you put on your face then fragrance is not your best friend – there’s no way to know what’s really in it.
🔹 Ethylhexyl Triazone= Photoallergic contact dermatitis or allergenic effects. Concern for Wildlife and environmental toxicity.
🔹 Octocrylene = UV absorber/filler. Allergic skin reactions in sensitive individuals. Absorbs into the skin. Octocrylene helps stabilise avobenzone, but it is a known endocrine disruptor that also releases free radicals. Not assessed for safety in cosmetics. Synthetic. Persistent and Bi accumulative in wildlife. (Meaning it never goes away and can build up in the body of an animal for example)
🔹 Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane=AKA Avobenzone. Petroleum derived, not assessed for safety in cosmetics. When applied to the skin it absorbs UV rays. breaks down quickly in the sun. Once exposed to the sun, avobenzone alone only offers about 30 minutes of protection Restricted in cosmetics in Japan
